Cranny and Schweizer book Olympic berths

Kimbia athletes Elise Cranny and Karissa Schweizer both booked their places at the Paris Olympics with a pair of superb performances at the US Olympic Trials in Eugene on Monday night, coming home second and third in the women’s 5000m.

The race was won by Elle St Pierre in 14:40.34, a fraction ahead of Cranny (14:40.36), with Schweizer third in 14:45.12. Parker Valby turned in another fine run to finish fourth, clocking a PB of 14:51.44.
