Jager’s Olympic dream alive after 4th at US Trials
Evan Jager’s hopes of competing at the 2024 Olympics in Paris are burning bright after a fantastic fourth-place finish at U.S. Olympic Trials steeplechase in 8:28.73 on Sunday night.
With third-placer James Corrigan outside the ranking quota, Jager is currently in line to represent Team USA but he will be miss out if Corrigan can secure the automatic qualifying standard of 8:15.00 in the coming week.
“I’m sad,” Jager told Letsrun.com. “I just wanted to get third place.” Regarding the path ahead, Jager said: “I will take this year to see how things go and then think about the future.”
