Tanner and Vaughn sign with Kimbia

Kimbia Athletics is delighted to announce the signings of Sam Tanner and Sara Vaughn, who will both run for Puma.

Tanner, 21, is one of the most exciting young middle-distance talents to emerge in recent years. A native of New Zealand, he set a national indoor record of 3:34.74 in February 2020 to secure the automatic Olympic qualification mark for Tokyo, beating two-time Olympic medalist Nick Willis in the process.

Vaughn, 35, was best known until last year as a 1500m specialist, a distance where she has a best of 4:04.56 and at which she competed at the 2017 World Championships in London. However in 2021 her career took an unexpected turn as she moved considerably up in distance, Vaughn winning the California International Marathon in 2:26:53 in what was her first try at the distance.

We look forward to working with them through 2022 and beyond.
