The conclusion of the World Athletics Final means that the 2009 track and field season has come to a close for us. We saw many terrific performances, as our thirteen athletes who hit the track turned in a total of fourteen personal best performances, and with KIMbia talents collecting six top-five finishes in the 5000m and 10,000m races at the US National Championships — including four spots on the American World Championship team. In particular, we were proud to dominate the Men’s 5000m in Eugene, with five runners in the top nine, and to see OTC member Matt Tegenkamp join one of the most exclusive clubs in US distance running, by going under 13-minutes in the 5000m with his 12:58.56 clocking on a chilly night in Brussels.
If you have questions for any of the members of Team KIMbia about this 2009 season, please send them to questions[AT]kimbia[DOT]net or post them in the comments below! If you need a quick refresher on some of the performances from the season, check the athlete bio pages or our race recaps, below. Make sure you get your questions in by the end of the day Tuesday, September 22!

Is Michelle Sikes still at Oxford and if so, will she be racing xc this winter?
Tim,
After a breakthrough year, what is your plan for 2010? Also, I read that you have spent time in Kenya, any chance of going there for a training camp? And how about bringing along Matt, Chris, Evan and Simon?
Chris, are you still planning on running the steeple next year? If so, how will you be preparing?
#1: Simon, can we have an update? I thought you were supposed to debut in Philly?
#2: Now that you’re all in Portland, do you still call them “Badger Miles?”
Matt/Chris/Evan, Flat out 400m … Who wins? I’d say Evan.
Matt, Chris, Evan-It’s great to see US athletes challenging us Kenyans on the track … It makes the sport more interesting, so keep up the good work. Why don’t you join us for some training? GK
Matt, What were you thinking with 800m to go in Brussels? Were you anxious that the pace was slowing too much and perhaps you would not get a shot at sub 13:00 and/or the US record? TRM
Thanks for filming the Wisconsin to World’s video. I really enjoyed it and feel motivated to train and improve. Best wishes to Matt, Chris and Evan in the next track season.

Whats a typical traning week for you during the winter? Are you on track every week? what do you feks do?
thanks:) Good luck and Congrats with 12.58 Matt!
What is up with Carney and his hair? When he races it looks like he’s wearing a hairnet and is going to go straight from the finish chute to working the fryalator at the neighborhood diner.
Even Jager, Teg, Chris Solinski, Do you keep your volume high during track season and how do you combine your strength workouts with speed workouts (5,000m – 1500m)during track season?
Tegenkamp how does it feel to part of the under 13 minute club for the 5K and I loved it when you talked about NBC and Versus about there distance coverage that was little
