O’Keeffe clocks 67:42 in superb half debut

Fiona O’Keeffe produced an outstanding performance at the Houston Half Marathon on Sunday, the Puma Elite distance runner clocking the fastest ever debut by an American woman at the distance on a record-eligible course, 67:42, to finish fourth. That puts the 23-year-old fifth on the US all-time list.

Her teammate John Dressel also impressed, the 24-year-old, who trains alongside O’Keeffe in North Carolina under the direction of coach Alistair Cragg, running 62:23.
