KIMbia Looking for Occidental Success This Weekend

Outside Los Angeles, KIMbia athletes will be tuning up for pending Diamond League starts and the fast-approaching US Championships, in Saturday’s USATF High Performance meet at Occidental College. Delilah DiCrescenzo — fresh off her graduation from Columbia’s Masters program — will open up her 2011 campaign with a 3000m steeple. Andrew Bumbalough, Evan Jager and Matt Tegenkamp will compete in a stacked 1500m that includes teammate (and reigning national champion) Lopez Lomong, Olympic silver medalist Nick Willis, Leo Manzano, and Andrew Wheating. Tegenkamp will have the distinct pleasure of stepping way down in distance from the 10,000m he last ran, out at Stanford. Bumbalough and Jager ran 3:39 and 3:40, respectively.

DiCrescenzo will kick things off for the KIMbia delegation, with a gun time of 8:00pm Pacific. The men will start 55-minutes later, to wrap up the evening.

Full start lists can be seen here.
