Busy weekend ahead for the Kimbia crew

It’s set to be an action-packed weekend for Kimbia athletes on various surfaces, with Evan Jager, Courtney Frerichs, Emily Infeld, MJ Erb, Colleen Quigley, Nicole Sifuentes, Henry Wynne and Izaic Yorks all in action.

Evan Jager will return to racing over natural terrain for the first time in many years, the Olympic steeplechase silver medalist competing in the men’s 10,000m race at the USATF Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee, Florida. He has not raced since September last year, when he closed his season at the Brussels Diamond League. Also in action in the men’s 10,000m is MJ Erb, the 23-year-old Ole Miss graduate who will contest his first race of 2018.

Training partners Courtney Frerichs and Emily Infeld will both contest the women’s 10,000m race. Neither has raced since the Fifth Avenue Mile in New York last September.

Several hundred miles north, Colleen Quigley and Nicole Sifuentes will be racing in a very different setting, the pair set to line up in the ultra-competitive Wanamaker Mile on Saturday evening at the Armory in New York City.

Meanwhile Henry Wynne and Izaic Yorks will contest the mile at the Camel City Elite races in North Carolina on Saturday.

We wish them all the very best of luck.
