On a cold and damp evening, Matt Tegenkamp ran 13:27 to finish in 6th place at the Athletissima meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland. Times were slow across the board, most likely because of the cold (under 50-degrees at start time) and windy conditions. “It was just cold out there. I couldn’t get into any type of rhythm. I felt tight. It just wasn’t my day,” said Tegenkamp after signing dozens of autographs for kids waiting outside the mix zone. A few minutes later he added, “It’s still not a bad race. I hung tough, but didn’t get the result I wanted. There’s still a lot of racing left this year.”
